micro:bit Kit

Robots are fun! Also, the micro:bit is the perfect controller for learning how to build and program robots.

LED display
The micro:bit features a 5x5 grid of 25 red LEDs that can be programmed individually to create letters or write out messages.

Programmable Buttons
Use the two programmable buttons to control games, skip songs on a playlist or even light up the LED display.

Additional Inputs and Outputs
Add additional sensors and actuators using the three alligator clip ports or access even more I/O ports by plugging the micro:bit into expansion boards.

Built-in Accelerometer and Compass
Detect motion, identify the direction of travel or create a tilting game controller with the built-in accelerometer and compass.

Combining the micro:bit with the other Kits creates a flexible low cost robotics platform for anyone from really young students getting started with the micro:bit to the engineer looking quickly prototype or build a proof of concept.

It can be combined with –

  • micro:bot Kit
  • micro:climate Kit
  • micro:arcade Kit
  •  Inventor's Kit for micro:bit

Arduino Kit

A great way to get started with programming and hardware interaction with the Arduino programming language. The SIK includes everything that is needed to complete five overarching projects consisting of 16 interconnected circuits that teach everything from blinking an LED to reading sensors. The culminating project is your very own autonomous robot! No previous programming or electronics experience is required to use this kit.

The online guide contains step-by-step instructions with circuit diagrams and hookup tables for building each project and circuit with the included parts. Full example code is provided, new concepts and components are explained at point of use, and troubleshooting tips offer assistance if something goes wrong.

The kit does not require any soldering and is recommended for students ages 10 and up who are looking for an Arduino starter kit.

Raspberry Pi Kit

The Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Starter Kit is a great way to provide students a solid introduction to the small, credit-card-sized computer. With this kit you will be able to get your Raspberry Pi 3 B+ connected through our Pi Wedge to a breadboard and, by utilizing the RPi’s 40-pin GPIO, will be able to control pushbuttons, LEDs and a host of user-created circuits.

The online guides and tutorials we will be providing for the kit and the full release of the RPi 3 B+ will contain step-by-step instructions for how to set up your Raspberry Pi and how to program it in a variety of languages.

This kit will not require any soldering and is recommended for anyone with a drive to learn more about the Raspberry Pi and its programming.

pi-top [4]

pi-top [4] is a new game-changing, programmable computing device that combines digital making, coding, and practical projects.

With pi-top [4], educators, students, and inventors get to design, code and make anything they can imagine using one simple, easy-to-use system. Students can start right away by learning the basics of coding and physical computing and with guided lesson plans in advanced coding, robotics, cybersecurity, and AI.

From beginner to superuser, pi-top powers the projects and brings learning into the real world.

Every pi-top [4] comes with our Foundation Kit, a metal ‘bento box’ containing 14 components including programmable sensors, buttons, and LEDs and can be integrated with Arduino and micro:bit.

E-textiles Kit

A basic wearables learning kit that can easily get students into the world of e-textiles without having to deal with any programming or code. With this kit students will be able to learn how to sew in a variety of LEDs and other basic electronics into any fabric, power them, and make them twinkle within a few minutes!

The hardware boards, thread, needles, batteries and extra parts come pre-packaged for convenience. It includes everything for up to 10 people need to start sewing some color into different articles of clothing.
